Hello everyone, today is my last blog (FINALLY!!!), I'm sooooo happy xddd.
If I am honest, I really hated this class at the beginning, but now, If I look back I feel that I have learned too much.
I think that learning a language (specially if we have one class by week) is something very slow (at least for me). So I didn't realize how much I've learned until I see it on the real life. I remember when back in high school I went to the english classes and it was a totally waste of time, BUT REALLY, all years the teachers taught us the same things, over and over again. So, basically, all I've learn about this language is based on my love for anglo-music and my hate for the dubbling on movies xD. maybe for that I was thinking that English classes at the University would be the same.
Even if I hate so much these blogs, I have to admit that this way is useful, we increase our vocabulary, we learn about new formal and informal expressions that we can use if we go to some english-speaking country, so I think the English program of JGM must keep doing it. Something else that I think was great was the videos we have to send to the teacher, it was a nice way to practice our english, even funny.
I am glad that now I have a lot of tools to use in real life for speaking this language. Now I understand more easily some argots in songs or TV shows and even I am using english in my life! Now I started to watch movies with english subtitles and now is not a problem to find mangas only translated on english, so I am reading a lot of english these days (LOL).
I hope to learn more until I feel that I know enought to be fluent in English.
That's all, this is a goodbye, and FOR GOOD.
Never see you again :3

Things that must we change about my study program
Hi again.
For this time, I'm gonna talk about things about my career that really it must be changed.
Well, there is so much to say about this, but I'll try to be concise.
First, in the career, we have several problems, like the curriculum plan. We have a lot of subjects, specifically, Cinematographic esthetics, Soundtrack conception, Art direction, and the realization class (these are the cinema subjects). Also, there are the "Basic formation" subjects, like Culture Studies and Interpersonal Communication. And, on top of all of that, there are subjects like English, the CFG and EFB. That means, that besides all that we have to do on making little films and other works of the cinema classes (We spend about 12 hours by week doing this) we have to read a lot of books and make reports, and a lot of investigations. Another thing are the teaching methods of the basic formation classes, this means, there is really no necessity to attend the classes if the evaluations are based on the books we have to read, I think we must start to talk about "Free attendance". For all these reasons, we barely have time for ourselves. We live with a lot of stress and anxiety, and that's not good for anyone... Actually, Cinema and TV are one of the careers with the most high rates on mental health problems in the university. So we have a lot to change, it will be a really long way to run.
But, in spite of everything, ICEI have good things, like the air conditioning in all its classrooms, the Sports center, and all the interesting list of CFG that we can take (even if it is hard to being chosen for one of this LOL), like many languages and recreative stuffs. About the infrastructure, I don't really like it, it is so vertical (the students and the janitor workers are down and the academics are in the top). Also it is not a very inclusive place, there is just one elevator (public for everyone) and no access ramps or signs for the people with functional diversity.
Another good thing probably is the technology, like the editing rooms, the IMAC room, the auditoriums, and "Pañol" (although it collapse very usually in the end of every semester).
That's all.
Good bye :3

☀ My plans for this Summer ☀
Hello people, today I'm gonna talk about my summer plans, I hope you don't get bored reading this LOL xd.
This time my vacations will be really short, we finish class in the middle of January so...we are going to have barely 1 month and half for summer time, that makes me feel so sad :C
I feel that I have so much to do in this vacations but there's no time for eveything.
I am sure that I am going to the Voluntary Works of the FECH on the two first weeks of February. So I am going to stay to weeks in Curepto, a little town close to Talca. For now, that's the onlu plan I got, but I am really excited to be there, especially because this year my friend Mariana will go too <3. We are going to work in the Comunication area, that means, we will have to promote and spread to the Curepto commmunity the activities and work from the other areas. I went there the last year and it was a really good experience, because we learn so much about territorial work and for the knowledge from the people of town and the rest of the volunteers.
Another important thing that I want for summer is travel to Concepción. Almost all my friends live there and this year I just went about 3 times, so I miss them so much. But as I said before, it is going to be difficult for the short time I have.
And the rest of my free time I'll spend it on watch a lot of anime and read the mangas I have pending.
That's all, bye bye :3

The Music I've ever liked
Hi, everyone!
Today I wanna talk about the music I've heard through the years of my life.
Music have always been a important part of my life because of my parents. My mom used to hear songs of "La nueva trova Cubana", like Silvio Rodriguez, Carlos Puebla, Pablo Milanés, so this kind of music was always present on my childhood. Also, my father was a totally melomaniac, he makes me hear the classics of Rock since I was a little and a lot of "anglo" music in general, from Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jimmy Hendrix and Janis Joplin to bands like Fleetwood Mac, Rage Against the machine, ELP and Faith No More. I grew up listening all of this but I didn't decide what music I liked until I was in school.
I remember when I was 9 years old, I was crazy about "Jonas Brothers", it was the favorite band of almost everyone on my class, so I thoght that must be an influence to me. Years later, when I was 11, I became a totally "Pop hater", I don't know why, but I start to hate everything I thought it was "pop music", when that happen, I start to listen to Paramore (a pop-rock band by the way LOL), and for that band I knew the "real" rock bands. I started to listen to bands like Nirvana, Misfits, AC/DC and Aerosmith (I hate them now), and a few years later Alice in Chains became my favorite band.
But THANKS SATAN I became more "open-minded" for music stuffs when I enter to High School and I got out of my bubble, and thats when I knew "Indie Music" and different types of rock that made me understand that every kind of music was important and interesting, that there was not "good" music or "bad" music (But I have to say that I hate Reggeaton with my life xDDD).

Today, I heard a lot of music from differents types and countries, I like Seu George and Ana Carolina from Brazil, Amparo Ochoa from México, Zaz from France, of course, Bjork from Island and many many others. Right now I am listening a lot of Kpop because in the occupation of the ICEI this kind of music was very popular and get into it xd.
That's all, I hope you like it, bye!

Postgraduate Studies
Hello again, people!
Today I am going to talk about a postgraduate course I like to take in the future.
Well... actually, I am interested on two courses, a diploma course on script and maybe get the teaching qualification on arts after graduate from ICEI. But in this time, I want to refer to the first one.
You maybe are wondering why I would be interested on a script course if I am already studying Cine and TV, right?. Well, the thing is that I have a bad review about the subjects we learn in this career, specifically, on everything related to making stories and script. I am on my fourth semester on this career and we already had almost all the scripts subjects, so I know I won't be prepared to write scripts after finish Cine and TV. That is my principal reason to take the course, but also, because I want to learn everything I could about write scripts.
If I think in subjects I like to take on the script course, I would say something about the formal structure to write, the traditional way and some others ways based on the greatest screenwriters on history. Maybe something about the history of the script, to learn about the most famous playwrights and the many ways to write a story. And obviously a subject related on oriental screenwriters and playwrights.
If I talk about the place or country I would like to take the course I think it doesn't matter to me, but for the language I prefer to study it on Chile. And I would like to study this course as a part-time course, to can work on the other part of the day.
Well, I think that's all, I don't have anything else to say, bye-bye!

My future job
Hi, today I wanna talk about my future job or, better said, what I hope I will work in the future.
Working it was always something difficult to me, because I hate the idea of working in an office or interacting with people, what it almost all jobs in the world xD. In spite of, I work for the fist time when I was 12, making the covers of the school's appointment books (I did this job about 3 consecutive summers) and after that I work as a waiter. As you can see, both of these jobs are related with staying in one place or interacting with people xddd, but is because it was for a short time, just the idea of making it a routine it's terrifying. If I had to choose, I don't care if the place is inside or outside, I only care that always change, never being holding back in one place. In that case, I like the idea of travel, but I don't if would want to do it to another countries, I've never traveled in an airplane and that sounds scary, but all of that is something I don't know yet.
I don't know if I am good enough but I see myself as a scriptwriter of movies and maybe tv series, all I want in this life is making stories, new world that gives new and revolutionary perspectives for people. I am studying Cinema and TV to make this real and I plan to choose that specialty in the next years of my career.
About the salary I don't really care, I just want to make the enough money to rent an apartment and buy food.
That is everything, sorry for not being interesting (LOL).
Bye-bye!

My view about Jimmy's Hall
Hello again :3
Today I am going to talk about the movie "Jimmy's Hall"...
If I am honest it is very unusual to me to I like a movie, but I really think I enjoy this one.
I think I like this film because it shows the life of the people after the civil war, and it makes us understand that the fight never it is over until we get dignity. I believe this message is very important to transmit to people or the opressed ones that today are afraid to begin a conflict against "the powerful ones" because of the consequences, but "we have nothing to lose but our chains".
Just like in my others blogs, I don't like the way it shows women in the story... Always like a romantic interest (in this case the ex that the main character still loves), mothers (or any female maternalist character), or people who don't have opinion or they are not really involve in the "first conflict" because the men always are the heroes or the strong people who fight against the "evil" or "the bad guys", I mean, women always will be the support of great mans. Another think I didn't like because it was TOTALLY unnecessary was the romance between Jimmy and Oonagh, even if was part of the real story ¿Who cares? xddd, I believe it was included just to make more "profitable" the film.
I don't know what character was my favorite for everything I've said before, but for the way the movie wants to show us the characters I don't have another option to choose Jimmy, for being brave, for never give up even when the rich ones and the church was against him and his people, and for fight for what he believe.
My favorite scene is when Jimmy is giving the speech to the people and he talk about how Ireland wasn't one country, because it still being injustice. Maybe the British people wasn't invading Ireland, but the workers were living without dignity.
I love that message, because as long as there exist richs will be inequality.
That is all, bye-bye!
